Professional Experience

Lydia has a diverse work history that started with a B.S. in Exercise Science and personal training for competitive athletes and cancer patients. This laid the foundation for over 15 years of professional experience that has built strong analytical skills, a results oriented mindset, and a strong ability to collaborate to deliver results with diverse on-site and remote teams. Lydia's past roles include sales, remote management of teams of 20+, program management, training content creation and delivery, and leadership of finance, logistics, technology, and HR teams.

Lydia is motivated by challenges that require creative, scale-able solutions and helping teams build systems and skills to perform at their best. She has worked with teams to design and implement AP, AR, Payroll Processing and Commission Calculation, Cash Management, Budgeting and Forecasting, Employee Onboarding, Performance Management, Operations Management, and Reporting procedures and systems. Her goal on the Summit VCFO team is to partner with clients, and Summit VCFO team, to analyze resources, identify business needs, and create and implement results-oriented procedures and systems.

Education

Lydia graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. She also holds a Training Certification from the Association for Talent Development.

Personal Profile

Growing up in a military family led to a strong need to roam, but Lydia has happily planted roots in Tucson, AZ for the last four years. She and her partner have a dog and a cat and are working on converting a shuttle bus to give them more flexibility to visit family and friends. She is the luckiest of godmothers to her nephew and an excited auntie to another nephew and niece. Her hobbies include hiking, cooking, craft beer and cocktails, board games, camping, an occasional painting class, and live music.
