You are not alone if you still have questions concerning the new health care law. The Kaiser Family Foundation did a poll that revealed just over a third of the public has tried to find out more information about the new law in recent months. Though there are many things to be aware of in the Affordable Care Act, one provision, the Shared Responsibility Provision, becomes effective on January 1, 2014.  This provision states that people of all ages, including children, must either have minimum essential health coverage, qualify for an exemption, or make a payment when they file their tax return.
