April Grunden is the owner of Grunden Law Office. She focuses her practice on estate planning and administration and small business planning and succession. April enjoys estate and small business planning as an opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients, their families and to assist in providing creative methods of building legacies and providing for loved ones. April focuses on developing long-term client relationships and annual updating and maintenance of client plans.
April is a member of the Indiana State and Allen County bar associations where she is a member of the Probate, Trust & Real Estate section, and Co-Chair of The Allen County section. April is also a member of the Fort Wayne Estate Planning Council. April's experience includes over twelve (12) years of estate and small business planning, and estate and trust administration practice. April also clerked for the Honorable Nancy Eshcoff Boyer and Honorable Paul D. Mathias in the Allen Superior Court in the areas of civil litigation and probate.
April is licensed to practice before the Indiana Supreme Court and the Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts in Indiana.
April graduated from Indiana University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Education. April received her law degree from Valparaiso School of Law in 1997. April served as a note writer on the Valparaiso Law Review and served as both a legal writing teaching assistant and research assistant. April was awarded an externship with the Honorable Nancy Vaidik in Porter County in 1996 and received an alumni academic scholarship.
April is married to Jody Grunden, a Certified Public Accountant, and owner of Summit CPA Group, LLC, Fort Wayne. They reside in their hometown of Leo. Their favorite activities include participating in a wide variety of sports with their two children. April and Jody have enjoyed coaching their baseball, soccer, hockey and basketball teams for the past several years. They also enjoy living in their hometown and spending time with their extended family and friends. April serves on the Board of the Leo-Grabill Softball League and the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana, and serves as a Junior Achievement volunteer in area schools.
Although Grunden Law Office is located within Summit CPA Group's offices, Grunden Law Office is a separate entity that sub-leases from Summit CPA Group. Summit CPA Group members and employees periodically refer clients to Grunden Law Office, and Grunden Law Office, from time to time, refers clients to Summit CPA Group. No fees are shared by Grunden Law office and Summit CPA Group.
